Lukas Nohrer

Lukas Hughes-Noehrer is an interdisciplinary researcher with a medical background, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in medical technologies and clinical research. He is currently the Head of Open Research at the School of Engineering, University of Manchester, and the Head of Computational Medicine at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He co-leads the Manchester Wearables Lab. His research interests include the application and trust in algorithmic outputs in human clinical environments, open research and reproducibility, and the ethical use of technology. Additionally, he supervises multiple PhD students and is an active member of professional organizations such as ACM and SCATA. His work has significantly contributed to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in areas such as health and well-being, quality education, and reducing inequalities.
