Jiwoo Hong

Jiwoo Hong is a designer and researcher specializing in User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) design as well as the field of Human-Computer Interaction. Currently, he serves as a senior designer at Samsung Electronics. He graduated from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) with a Master's degree in Industrial Design. His research spans multiple areas, including digitally augmented play, interactive design systems, and 3D animation technologies, aiming to improve user experiences through innovative design methods. He has also contributed to numerous design projects, such as redesigning the KAIST Learning Management System (KLMS) and developing new materials and devices to support creativity and interactive experiences.

  • Participated in the design of Seamless TV, proposing future TV design concepts and strategies focusing on "Reflection," "Ambient," and "Seamless" displays.
