Mengjia Zhu

Mengjia Zhu is a research scientist actively engaged in the fields of soft robotics and haptics technology, currently working at Meta Reality Labs. She earned her Ph.D. in Media Arts and Technology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, along with a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design and Engineering from Soochow University, China. Her research focuses on soft robotics, wearable devices, and human-computer interaction technologies, striving to enhance human physical capabilities and improve interactive experiences through the development of soft wearable devices. She has published extensively in numerous international conferences and journals and holds multiple patents.
