Beste F. Yuksel

Beste F. Yuksel is a professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of San Francisco, as well as the founder and director of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. Her research areas include human-computer interaction, brain-computer interfaces, and virtual reality. Professor Yuksel has achieved notable success in academia, having been awarded the ACM CHI Best Paper Award and Honorable Mention, as well as the NSF Research Infrastructure Award in 2017. She is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, founding multiple tech initiatives supporting women and veterans, and raising over $1 million in scholarships for students. Her work not only advances academic research but also generates significant societal impact.
