Swati Mishra

Swati Mishra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing and Software at McMaster University. Her research focuses on the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), aimed at designing tools to enhance the usability, reliability, and user interaction of machine learning systems. Prior to McMaster, she completed her PhD in Information Science and an MS in Computer Science at Cornell University, supported by several years of Bloomberg AI data science research funding. Her research spans machine teaching, user behavior modeling in AI systems, and designing reliable AI solutions for healthcare and journalism applications.
