Edith Law

Edith Law is an Associate Professor at the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, and serves as the Executive Director of the Future of Work Institute. She leads the Augmented Intelligence Lab and Human-Computer Interaction Lab, focusing on the role of technology in the collaboration between artificial and human intelligence. Her research interests include social computing, small group and large-scale crowd collaboration, models of human interaction with intelligent systems, and the design of technologies that enhance human qualities such as curiosity and empathy. She earned her Ph.D. in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. She is a prominent figure in the fields of artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction.
