Jesper Kjeldskov

Jesper Kjeldskov is a Professor in Monash University's Department of Human Centred Computing and serves as Deputy Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Information Technology. His research areas include human-computer interaction, human-centred design, interaction design, human-centred AI, collaborative technologies, and mobile and ubiquitous computing. Monash announced his appointment in 2023 as Head of the Human-Centred Computing department and the first Director of its Human-Centred AI theme; the same announcement records earlier roles as Research Director of Cyber-Physical Systems at CSIRO's Data61 and Head of Aalborg University's Department of Computer Science. His work spans mobile computing, AI-based devices, telepresence, non-work settings, and sustainability. He holds a PhD (2003) and an MA (2000) from Aalborg University.
