Naveen Bagalkot

Naveen Bagalkot is a design researcher, educator, and facilitator working at the intersections of human-computer interaction design, participatory design, science and technology studies, and community-based care. Trained as an architect and industrial designer, he holds a PhD in Interaction Design from the IT University of Copenhagen. The official Srishti profile lists him as a Professor; he teaches across undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes in Human-Centered Design, Participatory Design, and Interaction Design.

His work facilitates collaborative design and critical making with grassroots communities, exploring localised, distributed, and participatory digital-physical infrastructures for community care and well-being. As a member of the Aruvu Collaboratory, he contributes to community-led work including the Channapatna Health Library. He has worked with MAYA Health since 2016 and has served on the MAYA board since 2020, as documented by his Association for Progressive Communications profile.
