Pernille Bjørn

Professor Pernille Bjørn is a renowned researcher in the fields of Global Software Development, Health Informatics, and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Since 2015, she has been a professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen and has been recognized as an ACM Distinguished Member for her outstanding contributions to global software development and computing. Her research interests focus on the nature of collaborative work and its technological design, spanning diverse areas such as healthcare, global software development, startups, and maker communities. Professor Bjørn is also actively committed to promoting gender equality and diversity in technology. She founded the FemTech project, which aims to address gender imbalance in computer science through design interventions.
