Mari Velonaki

Mari Velonaki is a Professor of Social Robotics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Faculty of Art & Design. She is the founder and director of the Creative Robotics Lab and the National Facility for Human-Robot Interaction Research. Her research focuses on social robotics, aiming to explore the interaction between robots and humans through multidisciplinary approaches. Her robotic and interactive installations have been exhibited worldwide, including at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, and the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art in South Korea. As an esteemed scholar, she has achieved significant accomplishments in the fields of art and design as well as social robotics research.
