Nan Cao

Nan Cao is the Vice Dean and Tenured Professor of the College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University, as well as a jointly appointed professor at Tongji University's School of Software Engineering. He is the founder and director of the Intelligent Big Data Visualization Lab and the initiator of Tongji University's Artificial Intelligence and Data Design program. His research focuses on data visualization, information design, human-computer interaction, and intelligent design. He has published over 150 academic papers, including more than 80 classified as CCF-A, and has received multiple prestigious international awards, such as the IEEE VIS Best Paper Award. Professor Cao previously served as a researcher at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, where he received the IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award. His research outcomes have been applied in various domains such as cybersecurity, smart cities, and healthcare, making significant contributions to advancements in big data analytics and intelligent design.
