Bryan Dosono

Bryan Dosono is a researcher in information science and technology, currently serving as the Research Lead at Disney Streaming. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from Syracuse University. His research focuses on the identity construction and collective action of Asian Pacific Islander American (AAPI) communities in online spaces, employing social network analysis and qualitative methods to explore social media data. His dissertation chapter, "Decolonizing tactics as collective resilience: Identity work of AAPI communities on Reddit," received the ACM CSCW 2020 Best Paper Award. Throughout his career, he has worked as a Senior Design Researcher at eBay, an Experience Researcher at Airbnb, and as a Policy Fellow at Google supporting the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. His work is deeply influenced by his experiences as a first-generation college student and the son of immigrants, aiming to enhance the quality of life and digital inclusivity for marginalized communities through technological research.
