Sena Cucumak

Sena Cucumak is a PhD candidate at Koç University, affiliated with the Futurewell Design Research Group. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction Design and multispecies coexistence, particularly designing innovative tools and methods for fostering interspecies symbiotic relationships in urban environments. Her work challenges traditional human-centered design paradigms and promotes a diverse, relational approach to design practices. Sena Cucumak was awarded the Best Paper at the CHI 2025 international conference, where her research was ranked in the top 1% out of over 5,000 submissions, showcasing her exceptional contributions to both academic and applied fields.
