Sanorita Dey

Sanorita Dey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020. Dr. Dey’s research spans a broad range of areas, focusing primarily on Human-Computer Interaction, Social Computing, Crowdsourcing, and Technology-Mediated Persuasive Systems. Her work aims to apply these theories to develop innovative social technologies and interactive systems, with significant contributions in fields like crowdfunding and spatial learning. Her research has been published in top conferences in the HCI field, such as CHI and CSCW, and she received the Honorable Mention for Best Paper at CHI 2018, highlighting her impactful presence in academia.
