Amy Voida

Amy Voida is an Associate Professor and Founding Faculty Member in the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is also an Honorary Professor in CU's Department of Computer Science and a Research Fellow at the CU ATLAS Institute. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work, and the field she pioneered: Philanthropic Informatics, exploring the role of information and communication technologies in supporting work for the public good. She has held academic positions at Indiana University, Cornell University, the University of California Irvine, and the University of Calgary, and has worked at Palo Alto Research Center and IBM Research. Her work has been funded by the National Science Foundation and published in several leading international conferences.
