Biography
Dr. Martin Feick is the research team leader at the Institute of Information Systems (WIN) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), specializing in adaptive immersion and embodied artificial intelligence. His research areas include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Extended Reality (comprising Virtual Reality VR, Augmented Reality AR, and Mixed Reality MR), as well as embodied AI interaction design for virtual avatars and robots. Martin earned his PhD in Computer Science from Saarland University, during which he was also a visiting researcher at MIT's CSAIL group. He previously worked at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in the Cognitive Assistants department and conducted research projects at several internationally renowned institutions, such as University College London and University of Calgary. Martin’s research focuses on integrating immersive technologies with embodied AI by designing innovative human-computer interfaces to offer users more personalized and natural interaction experiences.
