Jacy Reese Anthis

Jacy Reese Anthis is an American social scientist and writer specializing in effective altruism, antispeciesism, digital minds, and plant-based and cellular agriculture. He is the co-founder of the nonprofit organization Sentience Institute and a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the University of Chicago. His research and writings explore topics such as AI ethics and the emergence of digital minds, with a particular focus on the cognitive, reasoning, and emotional capacities of artificial intelligence. His book, The End of Animal Farming, envisions a future driven by science, entrepreneurship, and social movements, predicting the end of animal agriculture by 2100.
